Orthopaedic Surgeon

I have followed what used to be the traditional career path after qualifying from Glasgow University in 1985 initially becoming an assistant in a number of locations, before becoming a partner, then owner of my own practice in Ashford for 25+ years and lastly a branch partner within a large corporate group. I have worked mainly in first opinion practice while taking referrals for 30+ years from colleagues predominantly in orthopaedics (e.g. TPLOs, fractures, etc) and to a lesser extent in soft tissue surgery (e.g. TECA-BOs, perineal hernias, etc) I now work part-time as a surgeon at Medivet Faversham.

Veterinary Surgeon

Victor graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 2015. That same year, he moved to Dublin for an externship in a small animal practice. In 2016, he relocated to the UK, working in a first-opinion practice in South London for two years. He then moved to a busy hospital in London for another two years. After exploring various roles, he joined Medivet Faversham to focus on small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. During the pandemic, Victor returned to Spain, but in 2022, he rejoined Medivet Faversham. Victor has always been dedicated to orthopedic surgery and is currently working towards his surgical certificate as an advanced veterinary practitioner and certificate holder in soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in nature, being with family and friends, and caring for his three cats.

I graduated from university and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2021. I have worked for Medivet since August 2023 and I joined the Faversham team in April 2024. It's so nice to work with such an amazing team! I have four cats at the moment, all with their own very unique personalities and I have a keen interest in feline weight management and the nursing of exotic animals.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 and have been working here since 2008. Being a clinical coach enables me to guide the students on their pathway to becoming Registered Veterinary Nurses. I am proud to have established this practice as an accredited member of the International Society of Feline Medicines 'Cat Friendly Clinic' scheme for the last 7 years. I enjoy the variation that each day brings and have a particular interest in complex wound management.

I started my role as a mobile PCA for Medivet in September 2018 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2022. I have a keen interest in Feline Healthcare and strive to further my knowledge in this field. I enjoy caring for all of our patients, but especially our feline visitors, making sure their stay with us is tailored to their specific needs and as comfortable and stress free as possible. I am also a Clinical Coach to our Student Veterinary Nurses and love seeing them grow in skill and confidence throughout their training.

I've worked for Medivet for nearly six years and have progressed from a care assistant to a student nurse, hoping to qualify as a veterinary nurse summer 2025. I have wanted to work with animals since I can remember, so being able to achieve that goal is something I'm very grateful for.

I started with Medivet in 2020 as a mobile Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and worked in many of their different branches and met a huge variety of people along the way. Once qualified, I would like to do a surgical certificate within nursing. At home I have a long-haired cat; she’s called Brie (like the cheese) and she is your typical naughty tortie!

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Some of our practices have been awarded cat-friendly clinic status by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

Using a tiny, flexible camera, we’re able to view internal body parts with little surgical intervention.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

At Medivet, we’re proud to offer keyhole surgery as an option at many of our practices.

A pet ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to view your pet's internal organs and identify potential issues.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

The staff here are amazing, kind, friendly and very helpful and even though this isn't my our local vet they still see my cat the same day. The vet ambulance driver picked him up and dropped him off and he was seen and back with us all within 4 hours, the driver was lovley and just overall the service was brilliant.

I couldn’t be happier with everything- from booking to collection. All staff members were friendly, professional and thoughtful and although Tiger looks like a little alien, she’s already a more comfortable and happy cat. Thanks again for doing such a great job with her.
