Morena has been with Medivet since late 2022. She graduated from the University of Pisa, Italy in 2007 and moved to the UK shortly after. She really enjoys the surgical field and caring for all your lovely pets. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and running.

Veterinary Surgeon

Rachael graduated in 2017 from the University of Nottingham and started with us in April 2025. Since graduating she has worked in mixed small and large animal practices across the world. She also gained a qualification in Zoology. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, travelling and seeing the world and all of the animals in it.

Daniel Martin Diaz

Veterinary Surgeon

Daniel graduated from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in July 2014 and has been working as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon in the UK since 2016. Daniel joined Medivet Sherwood in March 2026 and has a keen interest in internal medicine and imaging. He loves to find the missing pieces of a puzzle and put them together. He has two cats, Charlie and Nimbus, and a Cocker Spaniel named Tosca. In his spare time Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He has a passion for nature, photography, playing guitar, and tinkering with electronics.

Marie Holt

Head Veterinary Nurse

Marie has worked as head veterinary nurse at Sherwood, Arnold and Netherfield branch since 1992. She holds a Veterinary Nursing Certificate in Animal Behaviour. She has worked at an obedience training club since 2002 progressing from helper to trainer. She has grown up around many animals and owned many dogs over the years. The dogs she currently has are two lovely Weimaraner’s called Tarn and Bay. In Feb 2017, she was invited to China to give a lecture to veterinary surgeons and nurses to help improve the handling, care and standards of veterinary practice. They managed to make some great changes and from the feedback she has had since returning to the UK there are groups of people setting up governing bodies equivalent to our British Veterinary Nursing Association to help recognise the role and improve the standard of care including the behaviour and handling of animals in China. Her greatest achievement in the dog training industry is being awarded the title KCAI(cd), which means she is a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor in companion dog training. She is also a Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Bronze, Silver and Gold A list examiner and has passed her judging certificates in KC Rally.

Katie Freeman

Veterinary Care Assistant

Katie started at Medivet in 2021. Before this she studied Wildlife Conservation at university and hopes to one day combine this with vet nursing. At home she has 2 cats called Poppy and Cleo and in her spare time she likes to scuba dive. One of her cats Cleo loves to go for walks with her in the country side and to the beach!

California Peel

Veterinary Care Assistant

Cali has been one of the patient care assistants with the Medivet since early 2022. She studied animal science and care for 2 years before joining the practice and is aspiring to become a registered veterinary nurse. She enjoys anything surgical and caring for inpatients, making sure they are comfortable during their stay with us. At home she has two mischievous pets, a cat called Charlie and a rabbit called Panda.

Jon-Luke Belshaw

Veterinary Care Assistant

Jon-Luke studied Forensic Science at college and then went into Animal Biology at university. He loves nature and wildlife and his hobbies consist of hiking and wildlife photography.

Kayleigh Brown

Veterinary Care Assistant

Kayleigh is our Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA). She started with us in early 2024. She has a sweet little Mini Dachshund called Olive and loves to make a fuss of the patients by giving out all the treats!

Debbie Allen

Client Care Assistant

Debbie has worked at Medivet Sherwood and Arnold for nearly 20 years. She has 2 Chihuahuas called Lulah and Deni. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, especially with the dogs and socialising with friends.

Sarah Cheetham

Client Care Assistant

I have worked in this lovely building for over 30 years. I love to spend time with my family, especially my granddaughter Darcie. I have a Dachshund named Parsley who I love going on walks with, but he isn’t so keen now as he gets into his retirement age.
