Our Newark practice has become the first veterinary practice in the town to be awarded a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). Genuinely the best veterinarian you could ask for. Always so lovely to my two border collies when I bring them in, and go further than your typical vet by asking questions based around the dogs mood, eating habits, and behaviours (not just physical health). Every time I’ve had contact about a potential problem, they’ve responded rapidly with clear and concise advice. Cannot recommend them enough!

Been going here for 11 year with our pug, hardly ever a veterinary nurse there, never the same one you see. Ordered medication witch we claimed for through Insurance and went to collect when the vet wouldn’t let us take it unless payment was made, even though the insurance had gone through. Thankfully Amy is still there who knows our pet and is amazingly helpful and friendly.

Very worried about the lack of vets at this practice. For a qualified vet (as opposed to a veterinary nurse) to only be covering 3 days a week is not good enough..the nearest Medivet branch is around 40 mins drive away. Hardly a local vet anymore-seriously considering registering elsewhere in Newark. A shame as this used to be an excellent practice…

Not a very nice vet at all. Not impressed with her attitude. My dog has been going to this surgery for 13 and 1/2 years (since he was a puppy). We will not be going there any more. It used to be so good

Unfortunatelly can't carry on with their service as they are really struggling with staff. Took me 2 weeks to get warming and flee treatments collected due to them being closed all the time. Annual booster 3 weeks behind the schedule as couldn't offer any appointments for the first 2 weeks then rang to reschedule, as had no staff. Again.. What if I had an emergency?

Reduced hours but seems to always be closed at present due to lack of Staff (vets) but had NO notice from Medivet. Previously always had great service from this practice.

Why is it that every time I try and ring this vet the phone line says they are closed even though it is their opening hours?! When I can get them the service is good but it’s not reliable if I can never get through to the branch,

I'm new to the area and have registered all 3 of my dogs with them - including one which is a pup. The vet team including receptionists have been very helpful, welcoming and friendly. So far they have given great service when I had to take one of my pets in for dental extractions & scale & polish, and vaccinations for our pup
