Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified in 1998 and have worked in the local area since then which makes me very proud to have long relationships with many of our clients. I am a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Advanced Practitioner In Small Animal Surgery; having gained extra qualifications in Small Animal Surgery. These include a General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and a Post Graduate Certificate in Surgery. Early 2023 I became a Branch Partner and opened Bermuda Park. I carry out referral surgical procedures for local practices as well as my regular veterinary care for our registered clients. I aim to continue with exciting developments for my practice over the coming years.

Following my graduation from USAMV Bucharest (Romania) in 2020, I started working in one of the biggest emergency hospitals in the city. After 2 years I decided to do the next step for my career, and I moved in UK. I was pleased to start my new role in Medivet Bermuda Park, an amazing modern practice and well equipped. Here, I discovered that all the staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, and experienced and open to help with my personal and professional development. I enjoy internal medicine, but my main interests are surgery on soft tissues and orthopaedics , areas which I want to develop following a certificate in the near future.

Practice Manager & Head Veterinary Nurse

I started as a Student Veterinary Nurse in 1995. I qualified as a vet nurse in 1997 and became a clinical coach for student nurses. So far, I’ve trained 21 students, an achievement I’m enormously proud of. I'm also qualified in behaviour consulting, small animal nutrition and practice administration. I’m particularly passionate about nurse consulting, and many clients see me for their regular appointments. Being married to Mark, branch partner, following the exciting opening of Bermuda Park I have taken the position as Practice Manager and am here for all the business, client and team support. Life is busy running a practice, but we love it!

My journey working with animals started shortly after leaving school. I have been animal mad for as long as I can remember. I studied a National Diploma in animal management, passing with triple distinction. I soon realised along the way, the career I wanted to pursue was veterinary nursing. I first started working in practice in 2007 completing a level 2 certificate in animal nursing assistants by 2009. I finally qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2011. Shortly after qualifying I became a clinical coach, training student nurses. I love seeing the same enthusiasm in my students that I had myself as a student nurse. It makes me proud to be able to share my knowledge and expertise. I am also a consulting nurse and have regular consult slots where I enjoy seeing both my regular and new clients. When I am not consulting, I am very passionate about anaesthesia so you will most likely find me in the operating theatre. At home I am just as busy, looking after my two young children, Anabelle, and Lenny. We share our home and garden with our three chickens, Tilly the tortoise and Quinton the ragdoll cat (I am a bit of a crazy cat lady). Life is busy and hectic but that is just the way I like it!

I have had the pleasure of joining Medivet as of August 2021 following my studies which were completed in 2018. I have studied a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and been awarded a Diploma of Higher Education in Animal Science: Both studied at Moreton Morrell. I have had vast volunteering experiences in many sectors within the Animal Industry and was always keen to return to paid employment in the Veterinary Sector! I now have this opportunity to further my knowledge with starting my qualification in Veterinary Nursing! I have two beautiful children at home with my partner, and our little bundle of energy: Gizmo, our Border Terrier X Pug.

Great vets, my kitten went for his first injections and he’s normally a very nervous cat and the vet put him as easy and he didn’t even know that he had had his injections or microchip. Highly recommended

We’ve been going to this veterinary practice for decades (long before it became Medivet and relocated to Bermuda Park) and wouldn’t go anywhere else while the current team are here. They’ve been there from us getting new pups to sending them over the rainbow bridge. They are always upfront about costs (albeit increasingly expensive due to no longer being independent), friendly and accommodating when it comes to booking emergency and routine appointments, and calm and compassionate which makes the dogs and us feel at ease when we come in. The reason I’ve taken off one star is because on one important occasion (putting our beloved but troubled Border Collie to sleep), a lesser experienced/confident vet created more distress for our dog which made the experience of saying goodbye further traumatic and for a long time we held guilt over the decision we had made despite it being in his best interests. This vet no longer works at the practice and our other dogs that have been put to sleep here it has been a peaceful, dignified and unhurried goodbye. From my Pomeranians to my Pug, my Collies to my Spaniel Cross, we have always been in safe hands here whether it’s been for health checks, vaccinations, tests or operations, and I’m happy to recommend it to anyone now. The new location is lovely too; more spacious, brighter and easier to park. On behalf of Poco, Rocky-Roo, Pups, Oscar, Mitch, Sammy and our human family, a huge thank you… especially to Mark, Jane, Janet, Carly, Clare & Cameron

First appointment was for 9am and had a text saying 9am. Then a week before I had a text saying 9.15. I turned up at 9.10 to be greeted by a angry man saying my dog's name and said I only have 2 minute left of the appointment. I said is something wrong because he looks angry and he said your late you should be here for 9 I shown him the text and he got more aggressive to prove me wrong. He even walked out the room to get someone else to prove I was wrong. I only followed the text I had which said 9.15. He also was checking his watch very rude.I asked if I can take my dog outside after this vac and he said well you can but medically no so we had no advice. We have taken our puppy off your system and gone to a better vet with a smile. Won't recommend your vets to anyone.

Really lovely staff who care for all our doggos. Brilliant health plan - works out cheaper to join the plan with all the extra benefits than to pay for the flea and worm treatments.

When booking my initial appointment for my dog, I mentioned to the receptionist that I was interested in the Medivet Healthcare Plan. The lady on the phone said she couldn't set it up on the phone so told me to mention it on arrival of my appointment. When I arrived at the appointment I told the receptionist that I would like to sign up to this plan, she said that was fine and to mention it to the vet during our appointment, which I did. He said this was fine during our appointment. There was a little wait to pay as it was quite busy and our dog was playing up to the other dogs in the waiting room so I decided to take her outside while my partner waited to be called for payment. This took about 10 minutes and when he finally did pay he was charged the full amount for the flee and worm treatment despite it being included in the Medicare health car plan, which we asked multiple times to be signed up to. As it was busy and our dog was playing up we left and I called back the next day to query it. They said because my partner didn't question the payment or the plan at the reception desk (for a fourth time) then it's our fault that they didn't sign us up to it and refused to refund us and sign us up the plan as originally requested. This is absolutely ridiculous, we mentioned on multiple occasions that we would like to sign up to this plan as it sounds super beneficial for the pet. If we wanted to pay £68 for flee and worm tablets we could have done so by visiting a pet shop. The fact that the incompetence of your employees was redirected to being my partners fault is just ridiculous. For this reason we will not be returning, signing up to your health plan, neither would be recommend this practice to friends or family.

My first time using medivet. My dog can be a little temperamental with strangers. The vet gave her time and attention in a way she understands along with an appointment that was not rushed and allowing plenty of time to be so thorough. I would highly recommend.

We recently moved from vets 4 pets in Nuneaton due to such bad experiences and having them brand my poor boy aggressive and requesting he wear a muzzle and be sedated for all future appointments. We had our appointment with Mark at Medivet and I cannot praise him enough for what he has done for my dogs and us. I was dreading it but Mark quickly realised my boy is not aggressive just a bit of a wus. Not only did he make our appointment fun and pleasant but he also removed my boys muzzle as it was only for the vet appointment nothing else. My darling husky left wagging his tail after lots of dog kisses, fuss and treats he didn't even notice the jab he got 😉 thank you again Mark you are amazing!!!
