Sarah Rees

Lead Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m one of the vets here at Medivet Biggleswade since the early summer of 2025. I take great pleasure in meeting you and working towards our common goal of keeping your pets happy and healthy. I believe that high quality, compassionate veterinary care should be accessible and flexible to meet your needs. In my downtime, I get a kick out of playing ice hockey, cycling (for vegan cake, of course!), and fussing over my cheeky yet affectionate 1-year old cat, Mirielle. If we haven’t already met, I look forward to seeing you and hearing all about your pet(s) at your next visit!

Hi, I’m Cara. I am a nearly qualified Registered Vet Nurse at Medivet Biggleswade and have been with Medivet since 2020. In practice I love to make our companion animals happy and safe whilst they are in branch as well as assisting with their surgeries. I hope to pursue my nursing further in the future to work in zoos and on conservation projects. When I am not at work, I like to go to gigs and adventures with my dog, then come home to cuddle up with my many cats.

I started in veterinary in November 2021 and can now truly appreciate the hard work and dedication this career path requires. Outside of work, I enjoy the gym and most things sporty, or going to gigs and festivals with friends. I’ve had cats throughout my life and Siberian huskies as dogs. I love meeting and treating everyone’s beautiful fur babies and strive to give them the best experiences while here that I can.

The practice were great in helping me to get my very nervous cat's problem sorted out when other vets were were quite unhelpful. The issue was dealt with quickly for which I am very grateful. My only criticism is the communication after the treatment has been poor.

Not sure what’s goon at this practice. Could you tell me if it’s been taken over?

Annual health check was quicker this year than previous and not as thorough. Nice vet and service though, could have been more thorough

My appointment started 15 mins later than I expected, but the Vet was very apologetic. It was the last appointment of the day so it's all good
Also - the practice is in the middle of being painted - it's all made clear with signs saying it etc, but it does look a little shabby at the moment. But that's easily fixed with a lick of paint

I am very pleased with the thoroughness in which my dog's conditions are being dealt with. The Vet herself, is friendly and always fully explains her proposed course of action. I have confidence in her and that is really important.

Although my appointment was at 9am - I think the first of the day as no other client came out of the room before us.
I have a nervous cat, so I try to turn up dead on time to avoid a long stressful wait for him.
We didn’t get seen for a good 10 mins after that.
Just a “take a seat, the vet (giving her name) is running a bit late” would have been helpful, to set expectations.
This was the first time we’d seen the new vet, she didn’t introduce herself, she didn’t confirm what we were there for (annual vax), it would have been nice also if she talked through the examination - what she was checking for. She was happy enough to answer my questions, but I felt a bit awkward to keep asking them.
Having been used to Theo and his caring manner with my pet, this vets matter of fact, just doing her job, manner, came as a bit of a surprise.
I’m not sure I’m going to stay with the practice, maybe I’ll never find another ‘Theo’ and this ‘service’ is typical of modern vets, but I didn’t come away feeling very happy to return

All the team are so lovely, friendly and professional. Alesha really looked after our not-so-little cat Sylvester having his teeth operation. Thanks again :)
