I qualified as an RVN in February 2018 and joined Medivet in March 2022, originally only working part time, alongside another role in emergency and critical care. I am starting full time at Medivet London Road in August 2023 and love being a part of the team. I have a keen interest in surgery and will be undertaking a certificate in surgical nursing in the near future. I have an array of pets including exotics, a parrot called Florence, a 3 legged rescue cat called Binx and a rescue dog called Gruffalo.

Veterinary Nurse

I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College University of London in 2021 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. I started at Medivet last July after relocating and leaving my first job at a 24 hour Veterinary Hospital. I love being part of the team at London Road, being the baby of the group has its perks! I have a keen interest in anaesthesia and would love to be able to do a certificate in the future. Currently I have no animals but there is certainly something in the pipeline for the very near future!

Nicola completed her BSc Hons degree in Bioveterinary Science at the University of Chester. Throughout her degree she gained an interest in veterinary diagnostics and rehabilitation, so she decided to pursue this and go into the veterinary industry. Her favourite thing about her job is seeing the animals improve and what steps have been taken for them to get to that stage. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any pets at the moment, but she would love to adopt a few fur babies in the future!

I'm a busy mum of two boys and two fur babies, my cat called pebbles who I rescued at my work and also my bunny hector. I love my job because I get to meet everyone's adorable pets and even get cuddles sometimes. I love socialising and to meet new people, my hobbies are going to the gym, singing and meeting up with my friends and family. No two days are the same at London road vets and I'm so pleased to be a part of a fantastic team of individuals.

We have been with this surgery since we moved here 6 yrs ago,and their care to our collies has been excellent, including our litter of pups and the loss of our Charlie at 12 to a brain tumour last year,it wouldn’t cross our minds to go any else!

Very difficult to park close to the practice since the car park access was changed. We park about 5 mins away and walk. Appointments never start on time, even if it's the first one of the day. Sometimes the wait is 20-30 mins beyond the booked time which is not great when trying to fit the appointment into a busy work day. It feels like it's just the norm for the staff working there for appointment timings to not be kept.

A miracle happened, excellent service and an incredible outcome, thanks to Vet Kat and the tremendously kind ladies at reception. Before arriving we were afraid our cat would die. We were reassured on arrival and even offered cups of tea. Kat was wonderful, we think going above and beyond. Knowledgeable, kind, informative, giving us options. Having done a scan, we came away with a treatment we hadn't dared hope for. Our cat has perked up and seems to be getting better. Our first time to this practice and certainly recommend. Despite these words, it's difficult to say how grateful we are. Thank you all. Ps - we had to take our cat back. Again, we received wonderful help and care from vet Claire.

It was Oscar’s first time seeing Daniel, who was extremely professional, thorough and caring. As an old dog, Oscar can be very clingy and anxious, but Daniel took his time and didn’t rush the consultation, and Oscar left a happy pup. He even got some VIP treatment from his favourite Vet, Josh, who kindly made time to fit a new harness for him. Nisha was also seen last week by Josh, who went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable during her health check. The reception staff are always welcoming and helpful. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Five-star service!
