Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I have been Crowthorne's Lead Veterinary Surgeon since September 2018, after spending seven years at the Wokingham branch. I qualified in Italy in 2007 and worked there as a small and exotic animal vet. I've also worked at Bristol Zoo and a number of different practices in the UK, including a rotating internship at one of the lead referral practices for small animals in 2011. I have also completed a certificate in exotic animal practice in 2013. I love spending time with my two young children and my husband.

I have been with Medivet since 2019 after graduating in Poland and I joined Crowthorne team in 2021. After graduation I spent few months in a Small Animal Hospital in Portugal as a part of Erasmus internship. I enjoy every part of work in first opinion practice, but my special interests are in Diagnostic Imaging and I am currently doing certificate in that area. Outside of work I love hiking and exploring the nature.

Veterinary nursing is my Vocation. I have been with the company since 2010 and joined the wonderful Crowthorne team as their head nurse in 2019. I love all aspects of my job however I hold a particular interest in training nurses, canine behaviour and animal nutrition. My furbaby Ernest (pictured with me) keeps me busy outside of work, you will find us either honing our skills in agility or competitive obedience and going on lovely hikes exploring the beautiful British countryside.

Client Care Assistant

I joined the company in August 2015 as a receptionist at the Wokingham practice. I especially enjoyed that in addition to the cats and dogs, we saw the exotic animals also. I find the exotic pets very interesting. When Wokingham became the Medivet hospital branch in 2018, I happily followed our exotics vet Selene, to the Crowthorne branch in 2019. I currently don't have any pets myself, but love making a fuss of, when I can, many of the different animals that come through our doors and enjoy meeting and greeting all our lovely clients.

After the experience with your vet we will make a point of never using Medivet again. Whilst out pet was not in a good way the lack of sympathy, opening talking about killing our pet in front of our 4 year old and giving no practical advise (instead just upselling the costed options) has upset each and everyone of us.
The phrase "We can do this now because it will be cheaper for you" (In reference to euthanasia) is very far from acceptable and paying nearly £60 for just the appointment made it sting all the more. We left as quickly as we were able and I cannot begin to express the anger we felt on the way home.
We may indeed have to put our dear friend down but please be assured that we will do it with a staff that at least shows some measure of compassion towards us and our pet.
Our pet is an old rabbit but we felt that she was immediately written off as though she doesnt matter due to her age. She has been our close friend for nearly twice as long as our child has been alive, been part of the family through the lockdowns and seeing her as she is now hurts everyday. Please immediately speak to your vets about their attitude to all pets (not just cats and dogs) and do not inflict this on anyone else.
