I have been working with Medivet since 2003. My main interests include radiography, dentistry and training of the student nurses. I love organising the day to day running of the practice and recently was awarded the Best Clinical Coach Award in London. I have rescued and given a home to many pets over the years. I currently have an 18 year old cat called Minmin and a 27 year old African Grey Parrot. I have 2 sons and a daughter who also keep me very busy outside of work.

I joined the reception team at Medivet in June 2023. I wanted to help make a difference for animals in need. I previously worked in both private and public human healthcare as well as wholesale. I live with my black and white rescue cat.

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Your local Medivet practice will be able to issue an Animal Health Certificate for EU travel.

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

In the UK, exotic species are any legal small animal pet that is not a dog or a cat. When you’re a pet owner it doesn’t matter whether they’re a gerbil, hamster, guinea pig or rabbit – you give them the same love and care as if they’re a cat or dog.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

A pet ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to view your pet's internal organs and identify potential issues.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

We were booked with a vet we had experience with (one of the only 2 left that I would trust in the practice), but got visited by a newer member of the team instead. The vet did not make any attempt to make the pet feel at ease, didn't call her by her name, nor gave her a treat...she is a very nervous little dog and I asked if he could kindly look at her on the floor - he insisted I put her on the table. The vet did not take any time to look at the dog history before starting the consultation - I had to flag that she is epileptic, which he proceeded to ignore. The dog was getting distressed after the vet repeatedly wiped the wound without taking notice of any signals. He then faffed around to bandage the wound in the most ridiculous way and gave me contradicting aftercare information. Thankfully, I am an experienced owner and applied my common sense. The bandage was completely unsuitable to be kept on for the 2 recommended days and I had to replace it once home. I only visit Medivet cause you're close by, but would NEVER recommend anyone to this practice as I have been repeatedly let down by different vets. The quality of the care provided is not good enough. Please note, the staff at reception (who have been with the practice for years) are lovely and always helpful instead.

I’ve been bringing my cat here for some time and feel increasingly let down by the care.
He has a persistent eye issue, yet I’m repeatedly told there’s “nothing wrong” or that it might be allergies… despite the problem affecting only one eye, which doesn’t make sense to me.
Another explanation offered was a blocked tear duct, but this has never been properly investigated or resolved; instead, I’m sent away with no clear diagnosis and the issue ongoing.
Since the practice was taken over by private equity, it feels as though the priority is running tests and generating repeat visits rather than genuinely diagnosing and treating my pet.
I consistently leave with a large bill and no meaningful progress in my cat’s care.
It’s also really upsetting because I can see my cat isn’t himself, but I’m increasingly hesitant to bring him in. Every visit I’m told there’s “nothing wrong”, yet his symptoms continue and I’m left feeling that my concerns aren’t being taken seriously.

I took my dog to the vets because I was worried about a lump on his shoulder. The vet did look at it and took some samples from it, but I had to ask him to check the dog's general health. I visit the vets in France and Italy a lot, when we're travelling with the dog, and they're always really thorough in their examination of the dog, even though we're not regularly at a particular surgery. They always feel all over his body, check his teeth, ears and eyes and his heart rate. I thought that would just be standard. I paid over £300 - even though he said the tests on the fatty lump would be £200 and something. I really don't understand. There's no way I'd want him looked after there if there is something that needs treatment.

The costs for medicines are astronomical. £50 for 100ml of an antibacterial shampoo as but one example!
