Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

We have many vets who are passionate about giving your feathered friends the best care possible whether a check-up or simply some husbandry advice.

Some of our practices have been awarded cat-friendly clinic status by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

At Medivet, we know how important it is for your dog to stay active and happy and our team is here to help.

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

Using a tiny, flexible camera, we’re able to view internal body parts with little surgical intervention.

In the UK, exotic species are any legal small animal pet that is not a dog or a cat. When you’re a pet owner it doesn’t matter whether they’re a gerbil, hamster, guinea pig or rabbit – you give them the same love and care as if they’re a cat or dog.

Getting the right treatment quickly can make all the difference, providing your pet with the support they need and giving you peace of mind. At Medivet, our highly trained clinicians are here to help. Find a clinic near you for advice and prompt treatment to get your pet back to health as soon as possible.

These glands release a smelly fluid which helps your pet to mark their territory and communicate with other dogs. But sometimes they can become blocked and infected. At Medivet our clinics can help with routine gland expression, making sure your pet stays comfortable and healthy.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

Receive expert advice from our experienced nurses on keeping your pet healthy and happy.

We’re excited to share with you that Medivet clients* can now book appointments online.

Knowing what to expect and how to prepare can help bring some comfort and peace. Medivet is here to guide you through every step of this process. Find a clinic near you which can offer compassionate and personalised support.

A pet ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to view your pet's internal organs and identify potential issues.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

I would like to thank Medivet Horsford. I could not have been any more pleased with the service I received.
I saw Gustavo the exotic vet and his knowledge is impressive. We were dealt with with kindness and understanding.
Gustavo has looked after exotics for me in the past and obviously he will always be my go to vet.
I could not be more confident or pleased with the care and service I receive.
I would highly recommend Gustavo and the team at Medivet Horsford.
Thank you so much.

While the vets and staff are fantastic, access to the business is ridiculous. The driveway is so dangerous with all the potholes. The face-lift the vets has had means nothing when you cannot access it safely in a standard car.

if you have guinea pigs and you're looking for someone who will handle them with care and expertise, you can trust this vets. the talented staff here have performed, on two different occasions, successful spays due to cysts which were frankly miraculous. the first on an older pig who had lost so much weight that she was barely more than skin and bone (she is still happily chugging along three years later) the second yesterday on a pig whose cysts had grown so big so fast that by the time they were removed they were literally the weight of an entire extra pig. (if you want numbers, she went from a stable 1.2kg to 1.57 over the course of 2 months, and is now 914 grams, having had removed 656g, barely less than the weight of her little elderly companion who was the first spay) i don't have words strong enough for my gratitude with how this vets has handled my pets, and for as long as i have pigs and this surgeon works there we will visit them for all our pet ccare needs.

I took my bunnies for their 6 month check up. Although the vet was friendly he did very little during the examination. He listened to their heart/lungs for less than 30 seconds, weighed them, and half checked in their ears. I had to ask him to check teeth, he didn't feel their tummies or check their joint or hocks or nails. He told me to give them corn and dry bread to help with their teeth....
Although the staff were pleasant and friendly at the surgery, I didn't feel confident that they were seen to by a bunny savvy vet.

The track road to the vets is in a terrible state with many large holes and requires careful driving. This could be an issue for inexperienced drivers
