Veterinary Surgeon

After growing up on the west coast of Ireland I studied in Dublin then moved the UK in 2005 to pursue a post graduate internship at the University of Glasgow. I've been at Medivet Impington since 2016 and LOVE our team. Hands down they are the most committed, passionate people I have worked with and they are dedicated to getting the best outcomes for you and your pet. Outside of work I have two tortoiseshell cats and hope one day to have enough time for another dog. In the meantime I enjoy borrowing my neighbour's dog for some lovely walks around Cambridge.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and joined Medivet Impington in June 2022, after previously working at another Medivet branch. I grew up in Cambridgeshire with horses and German Shepherds, and now I have a 1 year old black Labrador called Nigel who loves swimming and beach days!

Kelly Hodson

Veterinary Nurse

I began nursing in 2014 and qualified at Medivet St. Neots in 2017. I joined Impington as a newly qualified nurse, wanting a new challenge with a bigger team. I grew up on a farm in a local village, getting involved with the family pets and livestock from a young age. I have a Welsh Springer Spaniel called Nigel, and in my free time you will find me on a dog walk, at the beach or on a paddle-board!

I’m originally from America and have been part of the team since December 2018. I started studying to become a vet nurse in September 2019 and previously worked in a zoo. I have five german shepherds; Hela, Thor, Athena, Hades, Zeus, and a boxer called Mollie.

Hi, I’m Lily! I am a student veterinary nurse. I have been in the industry for 5 years and joined the Impington team in December 2022. I previously studied animal behaviour at university and have had various jobs with animals! In my spare time I like to spend time with the two cats and two ferrets I have at home and seeing friends and family.

I joined the Medivet team in November 2021, and I am currently completing my veterinary nurse qualifications, which should mean I qualify by September 2024. I have a yellow Labrador called Lola at home, and 2 rabbits called Thumper and Spring. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and travelling.

Becca Hardy

Client Care Assistant

Becca Hardy

Client Care Assistant

I have been working at the practice since October 2017 as a Client Care Assistant and I love combining client care with a love for animals! I had a break from work when I had my son in November 2021, and now work part-time. I have always been interested in cats and their behaviour, after growing up with cats and working in a cat re-homing centre previously. So since working here I have completed the ISFM Cat Friendly Receptionist course as I'm keen to help make our practice more cat friendly. I am also the Medivet Healthcare Plan co-ordinator for the branch. At home, I have 2 cats called Ralph and Buttons, and in my spare time I enjoy nature walks and reading in the sunshine!

I returned to the UK after living and working in France for 10 years, and I returned with a very old French cat in tow, Mimi! I joined Medivet to finally work in an animal orientated environment, although for many years I have helped at a dog shelter in Spain. I'm at my happiest emersed in nature, with sand between my toes, or a dog by my side!

  • Your vet in Impington

We're a small and friendly practice with a big passion for delivering outstanding veterinary care. We're proud to offer you a full range of services, first-class facilities, and access to the most sophisticated treatment available.

We look forward to welcoming you and your pet to the family.

  • Puppy Parties

We hold Puppy Socialisation classes on Thursday evenings at the practice and they are a great way to get puppies to meet other puppies as well as people! The Puppy Parties are usually hosted by Clara and Kelly who will talk about different topics over the 3-week course, offer their support and advice to our puppy owners, and ultimately make it a fun and positive experience for all the puppies.

  • Nurse Clinics

Our nurses carry out a variety of clinics, including weight clinics, post op checks, puppy and kitten chats, k-laser, MHP checks, nail clips, Nervous Nellies, grooming and many more! Veterinary Nurses go through rigorous practical and theoretical training over a period of 2-3 years and are governed by the RCVS just like our vets are.

  • K-Laser

At Impington we have nurses who are trained in performing K-laser treatment on pets. K-laser is used to promote healing and reduce inflammation and pain, from chronic arthritis to post surgical wound treatment. K-laser is pain free and non-invasive.

Very friendly caring staff. But they need to make it easier for people to pay just a simple vet fee which is now £49 just to see a vet! People can't afford it and I wonder how many pets suffer because of this?

We have recently moved into the area and transferred from Medivet Gravesend. Fabulous surgery and staff. They made us feel very welcome and the care our Patterdale received was second to none. Huge thank you to you all!

We recently joined this vet and couldn't be happier. Everyone, from reception to the nurses to the vets, has been so lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable. We feel like it has a personal touch that you don't get as often these days. Of course this may just be the spell of a new puppy :)) 100% recommend.

Our beloved cat became unwell really quickly and despite attempting surgery, had to be euthanased last week. We were devastated but they allowed us time to quickly pop back to say goodbye, lit a candle in reception with a little respect note for customers, gave us space and time, took paw prints and hair keepsakes and made his end very peaceful. Our hearts are broken but the vet Zoe was very kind indeed. Thank you

We attended this practice as new clients with a young very sick kitten and were given the most amazing support at very short notice. We felt properly cared for and much appreciate all the staff's effort to help us at a difficult time. With a special "thank you" to vet Zoe for missing her lunch to support us.

Great veterinary surgery, they have always been kind and caring with our cats and our dog. Becca always remembers our pets and asks about them. She is very friendly and patient. We usually see Zoe the vet, she’s great and caring. She always goes above and beyond to provide the best care she can. She was great when our dog had a tumour and got it removed as soon as possible. We brought our cat in yesterday and she knew exactly what was wrong. He has been back to his old self within 24 hours.

Saw us straight away when our cat had cystitis, even though we had no appointment, and this is not our normal branch. Immediately knew what was wrong with the cat and gave / prescribed medication, which meant our kitty was back to her normal self within hours. Unfortunately I didn't catch the vet's name, but she was lovely, as were the ladies at reception. Would highly recommend!

Within an hour of calling for an appointment, we were home again with the required medication and a calm, albeit a bit huffy, cat. Everyone was friendly and professional.
