I joined the Medivet graduate scheme in 2021, and have worked at Islington Cross Street since then. I enjoy all parts of practice, but my main interest is internal medicine. I’m originally from Suffolk, and at home my family have a young cocker spaniel called Tilly, a more elderly cat called Tom, and a few chickens and ducks (Charlotte, Betty, Flo, Sydney and Adelaide).

Hello, my name is Leo and I am originally from Edinburgh, Scotland. I studied Veterinary Medicine in the Wild West, (University of Glasgow) and graduated in June 2023. I have been with Medivet since October as part of their graduate programme and divide my time between the Islington Cross Street and Finsbury Park surgeries. I enjoy all aspects of general practice. However, my greatest privilege is caring for all the animals that come into the clinics and getting to know their personalities. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the food scene of London, meeting up with friends, music and, of course, reminiscing about Glasgow.

Oscar enjoyed his visit to the vet, the little minks did not want to return to his pet carrier, after taking two adults to get him in for his appointment. Great 6 month check up experience.

Great vet surgery, all of the staff are so caring and professional. The vet, Jonathon Wong had a wonderful, caring way with my very nervous/hissing cat!

Our dog has been with Medivet Cross St. since we brought him home a year ago and we’ve had nothing but excellent, professional care and attention from the team there throughout. They’ve been prompt, caring, attentive and always great with diagnosis and follow up. I’ve found their advice to be really balanced and never the sorts that recommend unnecessary tests and treatments. It’s so helpful that the vets and staff at this branch are also available on weekends!

I’ve been coming to this vet for a while now ( only because it’s a 5 minute walk away from where I live) but the service is always HORRIBLE, staff are very very unhelpful and rude , they cannot be asked to help you when you have a query and they are very strict on appointment times yet when they make a mistake or an error there is no accountability for wasting your time. Their services are always claimed to be down too , maybe try sorting that out ? I went there for my appointment at 10am in which I had an appointment slip that stated my exact date and time and she told me it was for the week after with a very blunt facial expression and tone?? So unorganised . Vets should be there for animals but these lot are only here for the money . Should Only be doing a job with love and care in a field like that !!

By far the best experience I have ever had with a veterinary team. They care as much about our animals as we do! Through ups and downs, David and his team support has been unwavering. We can’t thank them enough for their dedication.

Find another practice. Medivet became an industry and pets are not the core business anymore. The staff is very unfriendly. I had a double appointment for vaccinations for 2 dogs. It was a late vaccination as we haven't received any alert.Imagine putting 2 Jack Russells in a car and driving etc. Unfortunately there was too much traffic (more than usual). So I arrived exactly 8 mins late. Dogs were VERY distressed to be in the vet, as well as we were. After sitting and starting to wait - the receptionist, in the most cynical tone of voice, just said: "If you were coming late, you should have called us. I'll see if we still can take care of your pets". This was outrageous. Zero empathy for the distressed dogs shaking. When I was telling her that usually, when we arrive on time, they make us wait for +10 minutes - suddenly a not friendly woman came and started (yelling) accusing me of being abusive to the receptionist. And that was not true. In addition she kept into her monologue as if she was my mother or my boss! That is clearly an issue. Prior to my departure from the clinic, when I was paying, she started all the monologue again - when I clearly stated: "Can I please just pay and leave, I can't look at you anymore." She then accused me of making a sexist comment (What?!?!!). Besides they are not capable of guiding dog owners for the basics. After 5 years there I thankfully found a professional clinic where I was told about Lung Worms (apparently epidemic in London parks) which any Medivet staff ever mentioned. Also, never mentioned about registering pets in UK database (as they come from overseas). I learned in the new clinic.

Went for my second visit yesterday, puppy vaccinations. The girls were really excited to be back there and the whole process went painlessly, they didn't complain one bit.
