I gained a FdSc in Marine Science and Applied Zoology in 2015 from Cornwall college Falmouth & Newquay. Before joining Medivet in 2017 I was working for a community interest company who supported pets who had been in domestic abuse situations. In my spare time I enjoy paddle boarding, travelling and walking my dogs.

I joined the Medivet team in 2020 as a Patient Care Assistant before embarking on my journey to become an RVN. I enjoy all aspects of nursing and have two pets of my own, Bieber a talkative African Grey and Floyd who is my rescue dog. In my spare time I enjoy taking long walks with the dog and baking! I am a keen ice hockey fan and regularly travel to watch my favourite team play!

I started here in 2012 as the receptionist for the Treharris branch, but moved to Merthyr in 2020. I really enjoy being in a busy practice and love getting the opportunity to watch different surgeries. Outside of work I enjoy spending time at my caravan in Tenby and going on coastal walks. I also enjoy musical theatre and going to concerts.

Absolute rip off when its comes to basic medication for a ear infection. The vet did not even clean the ear, it would have probably cost another hundred pound for 60 seconds effort.

Always helpful on the phone no matter what the query. All vets are so good with my pets and put them at ease on all visits. Recently took my dog to them and even under the covid restrictions they were brilliant 👏 They even picked up on a infection with my dogs paws and treated it with ongoing advice and medication. My dog has no issues when going to Ash vets and will happily go with them without me present as He trusts them.

Appalled. Booked a pre-op neutering appointment for my son's cat at the Merthyr branch. Was told the pre-op assessment was free of charge. As soon as we walked into the consultant room I felt a bad vibe from the vet(!). Whilst weighing the cat I informed her that she had had kittens eight weeks ago, her attitude / posture changed immediately. She came up with some cobblers about her belly looking sore and said she needed to perform an ultra sound before carrying out the op, to a cost of just shy of £300. When I told her we couldn't afford that, she told me I would have to pay for the consultation (pre-op check). I went to pay and was told it was £50 odd quid! We were in the room for less than 4 minutes, 1 of which was spent getting the cat out of the carrier. The cat was only weighed, no physical examination given other than looking at her nipples for a nano second. I objected to the cost and repeatedly said that I was not informed that I would have to pay for the pre-op assessment under any circumstances - apparently, according to said vet, medivet does need need to inform clients of any caveats when booking a free pre-op appointment. The vet blathered on about paying for expertise and not just time....right, weighing a cat takes a lot of expertise. The only expertise evident today was that in the art of ripping people off. To add insult to injury the vet proceeded to tell me that she had a welfare concern for my cat, but I shouldn't worry as she wasn't going to call the police. Really!! Clearly a brazen attempt to try fleece us for services not required by way of a threat. The cat's nipples are sore as she is at the tale end of weaning her kittens and producing very little milk for heavens sake. Any reputable vet would seek further information from the client at the very least before demanding £300 for an ultra sound. At this point I informed the vet I no-longer wished to engage with her, but still she rattled on trying to get a rise out of me and justify the £50 odd charge. I promptly paid my bill, told her to enjoy her cheap bottle of champagne and departed - a childish dig but relatively pleasant considering my internal dialogue at the time. I've used medivet a number of times over the years (Hayes branch) and am very sad to say today's experience has left me incredibly disappointed. The ploy to elicit money any which possible was crystal clear within a few minutes of entering the assessment room - shame on Medivet, its staff Maria Cristina Crisan Grozea and for its very poor practice.

Totally dissatisfied. No care for the wellbeing of my pet after failing to stop the bleeding, only making it worse and more concerned with clocking off on time and getting us out the door due to excessive bleeding, messing up reception after cleaning once before, upon our arrival. No medication prepared for take home as stated and told to go to out of hours vet for help after their failed atrempt and wanting to go home. No paperwork for possible handover etc...terrible service. Even when asking what I owe them and attempting to make payment for the failed attempt of treatment...I was told to exit the building and they'd rather sort something out next week. No care for my pet or payment. Just get out, go somewhere else we want to go home. So in my eyes.. after that terrible service. Payment was sorted there and then. Disgusted doesn't come close.
