Excellent service and friendly helpful caring staff. 10/10 all day long

Absolutely delighted with my this practice as the staff are always friendly and helpful either over the phone or in person.

Medivet has the worst reputation. My dogs would probably still be here if I was able to get help quicker from Medivet.
Everyone I know who have been with Medivet has nothing positive to say.
Expensive, staff that seem to care more about looking at the screen prices and encouraging you to get more and pay more. That’s over 10 minutes, then 5 minutes to look over the animal. Not listening properly to clients.

I have been coming to this practice with pets since around 2006 which has over the years changed hands.
It has been under the Medivet umbrella for a for a while now and I am pleased to say the service is perfect for our needs. It is nearby and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
Our pets are well cared for and are quite comfortable and settled in, what must be, a sensory overload environment.

My appointment started 20 minutes late, even thought the vet wasn't with anyone before me. I had to have the appointment as, even though I'd phoned ahead to order flea and worm treatment, when I got there to pick up, I was told the vet needed to see my dog, so it was an initial wasted trip.
The vet gave me the wrong flea treatment initially and I asked for 2 months wormer and she gave me 3, but by that point I was late to pick up my son from school. The bill had been put on the system incorrectly, so that was another delay.

Friendly and very caring staff.

I am beyond devastated and angry about the way Medivet handled my cat’s case, and I will be taking this matter further. I took my one-year-old cat to Medivet because he was unwell. After examining him, they told me there was nothing wrong with him and sent us home. No urgency, no further investigation, no concern. Just three days later, my cat’s condition deteriorated rapidly — he stopped eating completely. I rushed him back, terrified. This time, the story was completely different. Suddenly, we were told he urgently needed blood tests and further investigations. After the results came back, we were informed that the only option was to put him to sleep. No clear explanation of how a cat who was supposedly “fine” days earlier was now beyond saving. No meaningful discussion of treatment options. Just pressure. We felt forced into making the most heartbreaking decision of our lives. Under shock, distress, and emotional pressure, we agreed. My beautiful, loving boy was put to sleep. He was only one year old. The inconsistency, lack of transparency, and apparent negligence are unacceptable. Being told one thing and then the complete opposite within days raises serious concerns about competence and standards of care. Throughout this ordeal, it felt like money mattered more than genuinely trying to save my cat’s life. I will live forever with the question of whether my cat could have been saved if this had been handled properly from the beginning. This experience has destroyed my trust, and I will be pursuing this case further. I would strongly advise anyone who truly loves their pet to think very carefully before trusting Medivet with their care.

I cannot say enough good things about Ivana and the team at Northgate. The care and compassion that I and my peta have received is exemplary. I have also witnessed other client being treated with huge understanding when they’ve been worried or upset about the health of their pet. Their care is genuine which means so much to me.

This vet practice is brilliant- the staff are Fabulous and Ivana is amazing
