Sarah Kelly

Patient Care Assistant

Sarah joined us in Feb 2017 and began nursing in 1990 as a Saturday assistant at a practice in London. She’s worked at a few practices and stayed with her last practice for about 15 years, before deciding to leave London and enjoy a quieter life by the sea with her partner and rescue Bull Terrier Prea. Sarah has been inspired by Prea’s story and now has a huge interest in animal behaviour. Sarah has worked extremely hard and in 2022 Qualified as a Dog trainer and is on the ABTC register. Sarah is a fear free certified professional which means continuously learning and working to help alleviate anxiety and stress in pets when visiting the vets. She encourages clients to come in for “victory visits” where she speaks to our clients whilst their pets come in and start to build up good associations with the practice environment. She is passionate about Canine cooperative care and is happy to help teach clients to set their pets up for success by gradually getting them used to being handled, ready for the vets. Sarah is also the West Sussex coordinator for adopt a bullterrier rescue who helped her adopt her dog. When away from the practice, she enjoys spending time with her partner and beloved dog Prea, running and cycling. Sarah currently runs classes for adolescent dogs in the area and holds 1:1 private dog training consultation. Her kind and gentle manner is a real comfort and reassurance to our pet owners and we feel extremely lucky that she is part of our healthcare team. With Sarah's knowledge, we aim, as a practice, to ensure our clients understand, that we will go that extra mile to help your beloved pets remain calm and as stress free as possible, while they are with us.

Abbey Waygood

Veterinary Nurse

Abbey joined PetCare in May 2010 following a 2 year career break to start a family. She previously worked at Grove Lodge veterinary hospital in Worthing for over 11 years and brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. Abbey is now our Head Nurse within the practice. She works closely with the vets supporting consultations, monitoring pets during operations and does not leave her patients side during recovery and hospital stays. Her caring and dedicated disposition makes us feel very lucky to have her. She is a huge support to the nurses and over sees many of the clinical administrative tasks, which are key to the smooth running of the practice. At home, life is busy with her young family, her terrier cross Molly, Labrador Walter and leopard gecko, Bot. It may come as no surprise that she loves long relaxing dog walks and yoga! However, she is also a huge fan of live music.

Amy Radlett

Veterinary Nurse

We welcomed Amy to PetCare in June 2021. Since a small child she’s always wanted to be a veterinary nurse and achieved her goal and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2010. Having worked her way through animal care and management courses and various work experience placements, achieving her qualification, was a very proud day for her. She loves all animals but does have a special soft spot for cats Having recently returned to nursing since starting a family she lives at home with her partner Andrew and daughter Eloise. She also cares for two senior tabby cats called Alfie and Minty who live with her parents. Amy’s spare time is spent walking, either along the seafront or up the downs; she also loves a good read, knitting and baking, and when time allows, enjoys ballroom and Latin dancing, as a hobby. We feel very fortunate to have Amy as part of our nursing team here at PetCare; she is a real asset to our team, patients and their owners.

I can't thank Yemisi, nurses, and all staff concerned for the wonderful care they gave to LuLu, our beautiful little dog who had to have an operation on Wednesday, because of their care she is making a great recovery. Thank you, ALL. xx 🐕

I was hesitant to write this review but I felt it necessary due to our bad experience. Firstly you never see the same vet twice, which means you can't build rapport but my main issue is that I booked in for a check-up for our labrador 2 weeks in advance and when we arrived we were told that the appointment wasn't actually booked and has somehow disappeared from their system. Our labrador always works herself up because she's not a fan of the vet anyway so to get her all the way just to be told that the appointment has disappeared was laughable. We even had a text reminder (for that day and time) come through while we were in the surgery which was even more ridiculous. Really not impressed.

I’m just so grateful to the staff that Betty my beloved cat went to her forever sleep in a calm, beautiful way. I was given as much time as I wanted to be with her and stroked her throughout. Thank you all so much for your kindness, professionalism and for just being so wonderful at such a difficult time. Thank you also for the sympathy card and little cards with Betty’s footprints on, I will treasure them always.

I've been with Petcare for more years than I care to remember. Always been excellent. Nick is a fantastic vet and I like the fact that he's very down to earth with me. Must admit I still miss Jonathan as he was very good as well. (Jane WYATT née Ibbotson). 21/10/2022 another emergency with one of my dogs. RTA. Severely injured and Jasmina the locum vet was excellent as was the receptionist Heather. Love this practice. Only criticism is they don't cover nights anymore with their sister vets Fitzalan house so it's a longer journey to an emergency vet and extortionate charges.

Very happy with how much care and attention all the staff gave to both of my kittens on their first visit to see a Vet.
