I have a nervous dog unfortunately. The waiting room at the surgery is small and claustrophobic, which makes her agitated. This is further heightened when other dogs are in such a small space. For that reason I decided to wait outside in the car park. However we did not get to see the vet until 35 minutes after the appointment time, which is far from ideal on a cold December night. I will say however, that the vet was very good, and handled my dog very well given that she was very anxious by the time we got to see him.

I have two pets being cared for by Suzie and Rita and all the staff and receptionists. Are fantastic I phoned with a worrying problem with our rabbit and they gave us an appt ASAP, she had the most fantastic care, two vets checking her over. Every appt is great I can not fault them. Thankyou.

I have used Medivet in Wickford for many years the staff are always friendly and professional and the vets there are amazing

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received. We were charged £59 for an additional check on our cat that lasted no more than 30 seconds. At no point were we told this brief, unrequested assessment by the surgeon would incur a fee. Expecting clients, who are already leaving the building, to consult website T&Cs or posters before being called back for an impromptu check is completely unreasonable. With the amount of scrutiny vets are currently facing regarding unexpected charges, this experience was especially frustrating. To make matters worse, the practice claimed to have sent a reply on 30/10, yet no such message was ever received. After two months of silence, we were then told we still had to pay this unjustified charge. This has left us with very little confidence in the transparency or communication of the practice. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience, and we cannot recommend this practice based on how this situation was handled.
