Nicky Burrows

Nicky Burrows

Veterinary Nurse

Nicky has been at Tyldesley Vets since we opened in September 2000, she also assisted in the opening of our Adlington and Standish branches and now splits her time between all 3 branches. She qualified in 1999 after doing her training at Myerscough College. She is our head nurse and is also in charge of the insurance paperwork. She has a Jack Russell, Rosie, who comes to work with her every day. Nicky has a keen interest in horse riding and has two horses, Josh and Meg, whom she competes with most weekends.

Amy Ribbons

Amy Ribbons

Veterinary Nurse

Amy joined our sister branch in Tyldesley in February 2015, and has recently begun working with us here at Adlington Veterinary Centre. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2013 from Harper Adams University. She has a keen interest in alternative therapies including Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy. She also has an interest in Diabetes. Although not having any pets of her own she regularly looks after her grandma's Miniature Poodle, Harvey, and would love to have a dog of her own in the future. In her spare time Amy enjoys crafting, card making and scrapbooking. She is also a keen gamer.

Gemma Lister

Student Veterinary Nurse

Gemma Lister

Student Veterinary Nurse

Gemma joined us from our grooming salon at Bents Garden Centre. She has recently completed her apprentice veterinary care assistant training with us and is now confident in practice. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and beautiful German Pointer, Riley

Zophia Jones

Practice Manager

Zophia Jones

Practice Manager

Zophia spends most of her time managing the practice and our wonderful team. Keeping everything running smoothly is more than a full time job, and on top of this Zophia is always looking for ways in which we can exceed our clients' expectations. Most of Zophia's time is spent behind the scenes supporting our team, and complements the veterinary staff. She particularly likes the diversity and challenges that occur daily, and helping owners and their companions. Outside of work Zophia is just as busy with her three boys, two dogs and cat. Unsurprisingly, the animals are easier to deal with.

My cat tends to be very nervous when faced with new people or places, but the staff here always take the time to settle her down and make sure that she isn't as scared before giving her the annual check-up and jabs. It's very easy to get in touch to book an appointment, and all of the staff are very helpful should I have any questions or need any advice. I highly reccommend Medivet Adlington.

Adlington isn't my usual surgery but I was very impressed with the efficiency, care and compassion shown to Millie and myself. Excellent vets and can recommend without hesitation.
