Meet our Partner, Charlotte Dobson

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. After graduating, I returned home to the North West where I worked in an emergency hospital before continuing my career in a variety of small animal practices. I completed my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) in Surgery in 2016 and have a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. I enjoy getting to know both pets and their owners and building lasting relationships with clients. Outside of work, I live with my husband and two daughters, along with our Jack Russell Cooper and our cross breed Belle. At weekends, you’ll usually find me ferrying my daughters to various competitions with their ponies. I’m very proud of our welcoming team and look forward to meeting you and your pets at the clinic.

Student Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I’m Kim, I’m a student veterinary nurse due to qualify in 2026. I have worked at Medivet Bamber Bridge since 2020. One of the things I enjoy the most is seeing patients come back year after year. I especially have a soft spot for the older patients and enjoy giving them lots of hugs. My interests are laboratory work, radiology, and nurse consultations. I also love taking care of patients on ward, recovering them from anaesthetics, and making sure they feel loved. In my spare time I’m usually with my Beagle, Hector who is nine years old, he loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa, eating and getting out for walks. Outside of work you will either see me watching a live rock band or watching Blackburn Hawks ice hockey. I love to collect horror memorabilia and love to game with my partner.

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Some of our practices have been awarded cat-friendly clinic status by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

Using a tiny, flexible camera, we’re able to view internal body parts with little surgical intervention.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

Pet laser treatment can be used to help promote healing and reduce inflammation and pain, from chronic arthritis to post surgical wound treatment. The treatment is pain free and non-invasive.

Our nurses run weight, dental, post-op, puppy and senior clinics. They're often the easiest first port of call for the smaller questions in between full appointments.

Our experienced orthopaedic team look after pets when bones, joints or ligaments need a closer look.

Pet cremation is just one option to think about. Whether it’s something you ultimately decide is right for you or not, Medivet is here to support and guide you.

Knowing what to expect and how to prepare can help bring some comfort and peace. Medivet is here to guide you through every step of this process. Find a clinic near you which can offer compassionate and personalised support.

Ultrasound lets us look inside the abdomen and the heart without surgery or sedation. It's often the natural next step after blood work when something isn't quite adding up.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

My dog Bella has been under this vet a number of years now and i had to take her to the vets she is 12 and old age is kicking in. I encountered a lovely vet who was more than loving to my old girl as she freely wagged her tail. I knew her back legs were giving her some jip. I was not asked if had insurance i was not asked what my preference was or even how i would be paying for her treatment which really upset me as we cannot all afford insurance. I was told a blood test was the best option for her back legs, i was not asked if she had any other symptoms occurring to warrant spending 100 quid on a blood test YET! I thought reason as to why would be liver and kidneys yes however her overall health would state not yet. Yes she will need a blood test down the line of events to check at some point i was then told she was having a fast acting injection, she was walking fine at this point but i was aware of her pain, i was explained to that she would need to go on regular anti inflammatory medication which i have no objections too whatsoever i mean did she really need the injection at this point OR could i of saved a few more quid and just given her a dose of the rheumacam at this time?! Please remember medivet to ascertain budgets and preferences before delving in to the purse strings of someone else however i will be returning in a fortnight and her blood test will be in a month but i do not believe bloods are always needed just like being at a drs sometimes you can by pass certain things if overall health allows! The vet herself was lovely and attentive which goes a long way.
