I had to put my std poodle to sleep on the 3 July, as we all know not easy to loose your best friend! I was dreading going to the practice, but when I arrived, I was pointed to the room where we will be meeting the vet. The room was beautifully prepared with candles, soft calming music playing in the background, with a soft dog bed for my old boy to lay down on. Tjitske took her time with us, chatting explaining and answering all my questions. I have never experienced such kindness in my whole life, how kind she was with my old boy and to me. Thank you to you and your whole team! For all the support and kindness!

The best Vets around!!! These guys are honestly incredible at what they do- They are all so loving and caring towards clients and the animals in their care. My little foster dog had a dental 2 months ago and he was extremely nervous on the day of his operation- I honestly cannot remember the name of the student nurse, however he was absolutely amazing with Boris and made him feel so at ease when he was there, thankyou so much… Tjitske I think was the Vet for Boris when he was there for his op, She is brilliant at what she does and honestly I cannot express how greatful I was!!!! And a huge thankyou to Ciara the receptionist for booking us in for appointments super quickly too :) There was one other nurse on aswell but I can’t remember her name who was also brilliant! And ran through his after care from his operation Extremely grateful for the love and support you gave to little Boris- He has been adopted now and is living his best life and is such a happy dog thanks to your help with his teeth problems and helping him be in less pain than he was- and he will be back in the next few months for his next dental, Thank-you Medivet team, its been very much appreciated x

If I could rate this place worse I would, they breach client confidentiality the staff are rude & the head nurse is even more rude allowing her reception staff to make up stories to save them from disciplinary action for breaching there contract. On top of this telling owners to feed high salt content foods to dogs, this is a big no no. If I were you I would not take you're pet here.

Great staff! Everyone from reception staff to the surgeons and vets make your fur baby feel like part of the family. My boy Kenzo absolutely loves going there and gets so excited when we say vets! They fully explain medication, procedures etc and the mediplan has been brilliant. Highly recommend.

Very very very expensive. I went alone to have my dog's glands explode. 78 pounds. They didn't do anything else. Sorry, this is too much money. I lost the desire to take my dog again And on top of that they wanted to sell me an insurance plan. How I hate these things!

Couldn't recommend Medivet Basingstoke enough! Tjitske, Ciara and Hannah were absolutely excellent when we had to rush our chubby little guy in for a blocked bladder. In a time where my partner and I were rushing back from Manchester to be with him due to a distressed call from my mum that our boy was limp and couldn't stand up. Tjitske instantly knew what was wrong, called and checked he was covered and went straight to work. Thanks to their immediate action I am so grateful to say that our little boy is on the mend! After spending a few days at the out of hours in Wokingham where Tjitske and the vets there kept us updated every step of the way, our baby was able to come home and continue his recovery at home. Even today when I was simply worried, Tjitske had us straight in to check our boy over and gave us some hydra care to supplement his water intake. I can honestly say having been with our previous vets for 20+ years and having a few terrible experiences I can honestly say the care, love, attention and knowledge they have displayed in the (about) a week we've been with them has been so heartwarming. They are a smaller practice, definitely a smaller team than I was honestly used to but the love they have for the animals they care for is unparalleled. Ciara and Hannah are always attentive and listen when we call (even though I am a massive worry wart) and I'm so impressed with the fact that they both have a clinical background which I truly feel makes all the difference during those emergency calls. They never seem to tire of calling to check how to administer meds or if I call with any concerns for our babies. I have recommended them to all of my friends and will continue to do so in the future. Also shoutout to Arjay for just being a super cool dude and making our other two boys happy and comfortable during their spay! (And spoiling them rotten). Again guys, thank you so much for the tireless efforts to save little man's life. It really is true that not all superheros wear capes ❤️
