Cam Dee

Branch Partner

Cam graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and took his first job over the border in Devon. He worked as a mixed practice vet on Dartmoor National Park, gaining plenty of experience with pets, farm animals and wild Dartmoor ponies. After leaving this job, Cam has worked as a locum, travelling around the UK (as well as a short stint in Australia) helping more than 20 practices and getting a real insight into how different practices work. He is looking to undertake training for a certificate in the near future and enjoys working with clients to resolve long term problems. Outside of work, Cam helps to coach a local rugby team and exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Services we offer

With our 15-minute consultations, you have enough time to ask our expert vets any - and every - question you might have regarding your pet’s health and lifestyle.

Emergencies don't keep office hours. Our hospital is open 24 hours, with vets and nurses on site and ready to see you, whatever the time.

Your local Medivet practice will be able to issue an Animal Health Certificate for EU travel.

Caring for all aspects of your pet’s oral health is easy with our excellent dental facilities.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test used to detect certain defects in your pet’s heart.

Using a tiny, flexible camera, we’re able to view internal body parts with little surgical intervention.

We know that sometimes it just isn’t possible for you or your pet to travel into one of our practices to receive care. At times like this, our capable and compassionate veterinary teams often offer at home visits.

Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.

Our nurses run weight, dental, post-op, puppy and senior clinics. They're often the easiest first port of call for the smaller questions in between full appointments.

We’re excited to share with you that Medivet clients* can now book appointments online.

Knowing what to expect and how to prepare can help bring some comfort and peace. Medivet is here to guide you through every step of this process. Find a clinic near you which can offer compassionate and personalised support.

Neutering is a medical procedure that prevents pets from being able to reproduce, and comes with a host of other health benefits.

Ultrasound lets us look inside the abdomen and the heart without surgery or sedation. It's often the natural next step after blood work when something isn't quite adding up.

We use x-ray machines to quickly diagnose issues that might affect your pet.

  • Your vet in Beaminster

Medivet Beaminster has longstanding roots in the local community, providing quality veterinary services with our experienced team. We feel strongly that veterinary care should be tailored to each patient’s and their family’s circumstances individually, and so we take time to understand any concerns you have about your pet and work with you to make a plan for their care.

We understand the best care is provided by a happy team, so we place an emphasis on supporting our staff. We encourage everyone to undertake further education in their areas of interest and have regular team and individual meetings to facilitate their development.

Our out-of-hours support is provided by the friendly team at Medivet Dorchester, who have dedicated on-call staff to provide consistent care for your pet. If you need to see them outside Beaminster’s opening hours, Medivet Dorchester will have access to your pet’s clinical records to enable them to provide continuous care.

  • Dental X-ray

Only by x-raying a tooth can you fully understand it.  Problems below the gum line can easily otherwise missed, and possible complications arising from extractions can be prevented with knowledge of the full picture.

Practice Accreditations

*This includes all standard consultations and revisits. Gland expression, nail clipping, out-of-hours, weekend surcharges, referral and specialist appointments are charged separately.
