This place is awful! If you don’t like what you do, just quit. Don’t try make other people’s life miserable! These people are so racist!!! If you are coloured don’t expect to be treated, don’t bother going there. You would expect better treatment especially when you have to pay extortion prices! I would not recommend this place! Never taking my dog there again!

Am worried that Medivet, Gravesend (a chain of veterinary practices in the UK) charging exploitatively high prices, on the orders of their Corp. HQ, also corporate parent, Luxembourg based private capital firm, CVC Partners. Unfortunately Medivet ownership by large private equity firm means that they are exploiting and over charging pet owners, as part of market share abuse, including charging over the odds for all types of treatment, exploiting fears to fool concerned pet owners into treatment that is not necessary, giving unclear info about charges, and take more money from them. As a corporate, greedy entity, the private equity firm behind Medivet, and Medivet themselves generally, seem to put profits before pets/people. Medivet subject of Competition Markets Authority investigation. The CMA are also looking into Medivet' takeover of so many independent veterinary practices in the UK sometimes where seem to have forced independent vets out, and whether skewed the market unfairly. Amount that Medivet are charging unjustified, and they seem to put profits before good service or fair value, as they have an unfair monopoly on the market. Medivet appear have a corporate approach to deflecting, victim blaming and foiling/gagging complaints, re the complaints process (despite their comments on here) which they force veterinary practices to use, to defend their shocking prices and bully people into accepting them, under the radar, for treatment that is overpriced, and not worth the true cost. Will make formal complaint against Medivet, to the Competition Markets Authority, for overcharging and exploiting vulnerable pet owners. And then will take legal action to recoup unnecessary costs, if find they have not provided a satisfactory standard, or overcharged, and have in fact materially sought to overcharge, not fair value for money, and pushing up prices, being exploited. The practice in Gravesend is as much a victim of Medivet as we are. From phoning the practice they understandly worried about being punished by Medivet HQ, for us asserting our consumer rights, and taking it up with Medivet central. They helped us, and tried their best but HQ still overcharged. Ignoring standard reply from Medivet Complaint facility in Watford, as this will not achieve anything, draconian and coercive at the orders of their corporate parent, get excessive profits, so Exec pay high as possible, at the expense of vets and the consumer. Acting like a mafia cartel not in the interests of anyone. Read Glassdoor employee vet reviews of working for Medivet, shows some vets are mistreated by the Corp Medivet side, as much as the public and pets are. Some terrible stories from vet employees, who have been/felt bullied and mistreated by Medivet Corporate - awful. Feel sorry for everyone concerned. The local vet practices are merely a mouthpiece for a cold, authoritarian greedy corporate entity, owned by a hedge fund, private equity firm, where money and profit is the only concern/priority. Was going to write to then Medivet CEO Christian Cools but cannot as he was forced to leave the business in June 2024 after losing an employment tribunal case, after wrongfully and illegally dismissing/breaching the contract and bullying out the then Medical Director, Ciara McCormack, who sued him at Employment Tribunal and won, after a massive falling out. Also note a petition for civil intervention after Medivet HQ, mistreatment/ forcing out another independent vet, Dr Alex Llorens out of his East Sussex vet practice, in 2024, which he had spent years building up, so they could take it over. Corporate greed, at its most evident. Please do not use Medivet- illusion. The vets in their practices are exploited just as much, as consumers and their pets. Do not let the Corporate Medivet HQ and parent comp. profit and damage the vet profession, consumers, and pets alike. Rigged market, like a cartel. Vets seem to be aware of each others prices - raise tandem. No real competition. Pet owners being milked excessive money, where costs not justified.

Took our dog in to be put to sleep, left him sitting on the table and was more worried about money surly the poor dog should have been dealt with first, very disrespectful when your taking your pet in and the only thing your worries about is money

In 2022 I took my cat to the Gravesend vet. He wanted £600 to operate the next day and wanted the money on the day of the operation. I took her to the pdsa and they x rayed her and told me she would not live much longer and if they operated she would be in awful pain. The same vet, a few years previously said my cat had cat flu and also needed his teeth removed. He wanted £200 and threatened that I could be prosecuted. I took him to the pdsa, the vet took one look at my cat and said, "who told you this cat has got cat flu, he has got a tumour". All the vet has been interested in is making money. I will never let that man near any of my animals again. Please be careful, do not see the man that has been there for a few years.
