Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

After qualifying from Edinburgh University in 1996 I worked for a short period in mixed practice in South Yorkshire before concentrating on small animal practice. I see all types of cases, and I have an interest in medical cases. I have spent over twenty years as an advisor to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and enjoy the work we do for a local dog rescue charity. At home I enjoy spending time with my family and walking our dog Mollie.

Ben Pearce

Head Veterinary Nurse

I started my training to be a Veterinary nurse in 2013 at Moreton Morell college, qualifying in November of 2015. I stayed in first opinion practice for a further 6 months, after which point I moved to an exotics referral hospital and attained my Certificate in Nursing of exotic species, for which I have always had a keen interest. I joined the Medivet Hinckley Coventry Road team in August of 2018 and have enjoyed working here ever since. Outside of nursing I have a keen interest in raising various species of exotic animals including my 50kg Sulcata tortoise Pumba, who can be a bit of a handful! I tend to spend my spare time competing in Warhammer painting competitions, running gaming clubs at my local gaming centre and helping my partner attend to her horses.

Can’t rate this practise high enough! I have 3 dogs registered with feldon vets all at different life stages. After being registered at other vets and receiving substandard care especially from supporting staff, I am blown away by how friendly and helpful all the staff are. Thank you!

Their animal care is brilliant, the core part of any veterinary surgery! Unfortunately their customer care is truly shocking going from my recent experience. A flawed administration/pc system, which seems to be like the Post Office Horizon system imho, financial payments having to ability to vanish into thin air. According to the surgery manager, they don't have any system inplace to trace down missing payments. So they just turn their customers into the bad guys and blame them for "making off without paying" and threatening debt collectors if we don't provide a copy of "our" bank statements! Instead of the manager quickly contacting Worldpay, with the time date, payment amount and last 4 numbers of the card. 5 minutes maximum, Their excuses was "it Medivets policy for the customer to prove it, if not then we send in the debt collection" Well due to "their" administration error, which has now been cleared up from me going down their having to show them my online banking app to prove £41 was actually paid to them, they have lost us as customers after 19 years! The mangers attitude absolutely stinks, speaking and treating customers like they're criminals, basically calling us liars. The funny part of it all, is we have proved to them they did take the payment from us, but they still have absolutely no idea where they allocated the payment to. I am wondering if Fujitsu developed their computer systems? Currently awaiting for an apology in writing.....

After saying it's okay not to fill out a confirmation form from defra that we have a time frame to complete by June that puts out girl at risk of losing her exemption and her life at risk to be told no multiple times and find a vet that would do it based on her clinical history. (Just want to mention we are registered at this practice after there refusal we have moved) I would never reccomend them to anyone. The stress we are going through because of this practice is a disgrace. Medivet aren't interested and the excuse from the so could branch partner is just as bad. In all honesty I'd avoid.

Feldon Medivet continue to offer a great service - vers and all staff are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely caring. Can’t fault them, very happy with every aspect of the practice (well, maybe the parking could be better but nothing can be done about that!). An excellent veterinary practice.

Very disappointed with MediVet. (Coventry Rd, Hinckley). After being fully booked again, I attended an alternative branch of MediVet in the same town (Roston drive) and received poor service and over inflated prices compared to the Coventry Rd branch. I complained to head office and received a partial refund and a sincere apology for the way things had been dealt with. I was assured that the member of staff in question would be spoken too and the matter would be dealt with. MediVet Head Office, reached out and offered a compensation for the way we had been dealt with, which I thought was the end of the matter. So you can imagine my surprise when I ring up my usual vets (Coventry Rd) for a repeat prescription only to be told that we were not welcome because we had complained about the other branch. This resulting in my Dog having nowhere locally to obtain his antibiotics. This really isn’t a great way to rebuild relations with local customers. I had no issue with Coventry Rd, and it was in fact Coventry Rd who told me to form a complaint about Roston Drive after being over charged. Disgusting behaviour, putting personal feelings in front of a pets health. Where is the professionalism. If you learn to take constructive criticism on board you may improve or you could just ban all your customers that make a complaint. Extremely eye opening experience, beware if you are to attend MediVets and are unhappy with the service, you will more than likely be struck off the list and refused treatment if you make a complaint.
