I qualified in 2017 from Middlesex University with a BSc honours degree in veterinary nursing. I am interested in behaviour and hope to do more studies in the future surrounding this. Even though I am allergic to animals I couldn't help but get a dog and recently rescue a cat; both having Disney related names...Tinkerbell and Aurora.

Cattery Assistant

My name is Michelle Norgan. I work at Hornsey vets in the cattery/cat hotel giving the feline hotel resident’s an amazing stay while the parents are having their trips of a life time. I have enjoyed working with animals all my life. However, I did train as a plumber but struggled to find the job satisfaction that you get from working with animals. I returned to working with animals and found the job I do now which I have been doing for the past 10 years. I enjoy spending time at the stables with my horse and dogs, walking and spending time with nature enjoying the outdoors. I had never worked with cats prior to starting this position and I find them to be wild affectionate animals with the most amazing personalities who just need a home from home while their parents have a trip away.

Dr Ianthi is a fantastic, experienced vet. She has looked after my cat with the up most care and consideration and put my anxious mind at ease. She has always responded to my emails and only recommends coming in when needed. Would highly recommend. Many thanks.

I was worried about my dog Lolli but the practice was able to see her within 2 hours much to my relief. The vet was very informative and I went away happy and more importantly so did Lolli. Thank you.

I agree with people here saying there's a lack of empathy.

As a lot of other people have noted, the vets at the practice may be okay, but the admin staff are rude, lack empathy, and seem to treat every call as if it's a nuisance. There are NEVER appointments available, which is distressing enough when your pet is ill, but to be told it as if it's my problem they are under-staffed is just unnecessary... When calling other Medivet branches, we've had warm, empathetic staff who have tried to support us to find an alternative appointment, and even if they were unable to, were compassionate. I recommend avoiding the Hornsey branch.

This USED to be a great practice. However, the loss of Lauren and the hiring of some substandard arrogant, young vets has seen the place become a crashing failure. The vet nurses do their very best to cover for the inadequacies of the vets, however, there is only so much they can do to compensate for the lack of care shown towards the animals well being and lack of common sense. The simple fact is that there are not enough vets in the UK: as a result vet practices are able to continue to exploit us.

Thank you for seeing our cat on 2nd August after we woke up to find he'd been in a fight, so his leg/nails were injured. Unfortunately yours was the 4th Medivet Practice that we tried (as none of the others had availability), so we're grateful that you were able to see us. In fact one of the Practices didn't even have a Vet on site that day - then the people with an appointment before us didn't show up! I'm not sure what the answer is but it is getting harder and harder to get appointments these days. :(

Super caring, friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful vets. They genuinely care about your pets’ welfare and are so calm and good with them. I used to come here when it was Hornsey Vets & Cattery before moving out of the area. After a series of awful experiences at my new vet, I ended up travelling across London to come back to see the team here as they were so much better with my cat. They worked with another Medivet 24 hour practice when scans and end of life care were needed and made the process as gentle as possible. The birds in reception are a wonderful touch and I couldn’t rate this practice more highly. Thank you for everything you did for Parker. I’ll never forget your kindness

I have visited twice and my kitten was seen by two different vets. Both were really caring, friendly and full of advice.
