I qualified in 1992 and worked in mixed practice for a year before moving to Hertfordshire. I've been at the practice for more than 20 years. I also have an interest in dermatology and soft tissue surgery. In my spare time I enjoy amatuer acting and have recently started running. I also have two cats, Benedick and Beatrice.

I love Marine Life and Wildlife. I’ve been with Medivet since September and I love my role within the practice. Currently, I’m on a waiting list to help our Medivet charity with conservation and veterinary work with the white rhinos in Africa. Travelling is something very close to my heart and I’ve been to Australia, the USA and throughout Europe. I plan on returning to Australia to volunteer in Cairns and receive a scuba diving qualification to assist with the green turtle conservation centre at the Great Barrier Reef. I have my own two lively cocker-spaniels named Honey and Jasper, as well as an aquarium of fish. I’m now training to enter veterinary nursing in the upcoming months.

Paul was an absolute hero with my stray. The cat went unfortunately completely ballistic but he’s brought him back under control despite considerable blood loss on his part. 50/10 stars!!

Most awful experience with this surgery, if I could I would have given less than a star, the vet does not deserved it! The reception staff seemed ok, but the service we've received was horrible. We have seen in the past different vets, but never experienced this situation. Our doggy was in pain due to something going on his paw, he got a swelling and had lots of pain when he assess him! He tone and voice were very loud and the way he looked and talked to our little doggy made my kids very scared!!!! My kids were saying mom let's go out as this is a monster, it is impossible to treat an animal that way; I simply agree with them you can't raise your voice to someone who pays you! If a person talks nice to you, than he expects the same treatment back. In the end I had to pay for the most horrible consultation and he offered me some allergy tablets although me as a nurse I'm aware that if something on the paw is swollen and red means a chance of infection or a growth of something; if he had an allergy, than our dog would have leak other body parts or scratches, but he is not doing it actually. Another aspect the vet should have spoken about is that offering this tablets to our little doggy can cause problems to the kidney function and that an injection was more suitable for him than those tablets; but as he did not showed no sign of empathy and respect it answered all my questions. I should have read the most recent reviews and than take a decision and go for this surgery like other people already talked about in their reviews. All human make mistakes in life doesn't matter their profession but they know at least to offer their apologies and try to remediate things around. He saw our little puppy was crying desperate and kept moving and he kept showing his paw although he realised from the beginning what could happen if he continue to do it; being so mean and rude, not showing 1 % of empathy for me is too much honestly, I can not believe that the people who are supposed to treat, love and care for animals are the ones who hurt them actually! I can not accept this sort of issue and I won't tolerate it! I'll cancel the plan and continue with the complain as someone need to teach them a lesson, leaving a bad review is not always helping, raising a complaint to their surgery won't help either as it's in between them and they are not caring about the patients; as long as money comes they are happy, it's business: everyone gets their money and this is what matter! PS. In a conclusion I can just mention that due to his lack of compassion and belief that veterinary medicine is "just a job," he discredits other veterinarians who are sincerely committed to treating animals!!!!

A huge thank you to veterinary expert Vicky, for her skill and professionalism in removing a grass seed lodged in the nose of my dog, Merlin. Her skill and quick action saved the dog from further sneezing discomfort, and a potential trip to an animal hospital. Fantastic performance - much appreciated. ????

The vet Paul is rude and really condescending. He actually raises his voice when speaking to him if he doesn’t agree with the conversation. My insurance company haven’t paid out which I was unaware of until today because I need to complete a form, no one told me. When I left the practice back in September I was told everything was fine and they’d received everything they needed from me. I walked into the practice today for my cat for a dental checkup and Paul was confrontational, first thing he said was about the insurance company not paying out and that they ‘left a voicemail for me in November’ we are now in February!! Trying to put all blame on me. He took one brief look in my cats mouth and said ‘its fine’.. Like he couldn’t be bothered. I’ll be getting the claim form sorted and leaving this vets. Paul cannot be arsed to properly assess pets, clearly.
