Nose-to-tail health check
We're excited to announce that we're now offering a new nose-to-tail health check, discounted up to 25%. This includes a coat examination, body conditioning check, mobility assessment plus a flea, tick, teeth and ear check. If required your pet can also receive a nail clip. Inquiry Regarding the Prescription of Pardale V for Charlie As you don’t seem to like to call customers back after but they will take their money I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification regarding the recent prescription of Pardale V for my dog, Charlie. Charlie has been experiencing digestive distress, and upon reviewing the medication, I noticed that Pardale V contains both paracetamol (acetaminophen) and codeine phosphate. While I understand that paracetamol is commonly used to manage pain and reduce fever in dogs, I am concerned about the inclusion of codeine phosphate, given Charlie's ongoing digestive issues. As you are aware, codeine is an opioid, and I am worried about its potential impact on Charlie's already sensitive digestive system. Could you please provide more insight into why Pardale V, specifically containing codeine phosphate, was chosen for Charlie's treatment despite his digestive distress? I am eager to understand how this medication aligns with his current condition and overall treatment plan. Additionally, if there are any alternative medications or adjustments that could be considered to better address his needs while minimizing the risk of exacerbating his digestive issues, I would greatly appreciate your advice. From start to finish, we had amazing service. Our animals wellbeing was always put first and treated with respect and care. He was so well taken care of and the vets did an amazing job at sorting him out. I couldn't be happier with the service and 100% recommend Medivet Pontefract.

The lady vaccinating my cat, said in response to me mentioning my mother forgetting to vaccinate me as a JOKE “There are too many kids running around with autism these days”, I am autistic. This behaviour was not only unprofessional but demonised a disorder i have to live with. When i responded, i was accused of being brainwashed, all while the woman had a vaccination needle in her hand.

Dog booked in for a nail trim. Took less than 5 minutes was charged £28. Found this so expensive told receptionist this and felt I was dismissed I will never used their service for nail cutting again.. To put this in perspective dog groomer charges £38 for a full groom bath and nail trim. Was so shocked at price

We had a routine appointment today with a vet called Sally. It was for a 6 monthly medication review. My dog hates going to the vets and doesn't behave very well. The vets are aware of this and when we go whichever vet we see we stress this straight away, but still they insist we go. We entered the room today, and straight away we told the vet about how he is but she insisted on trying to examine him. We put him on the table and she stroked him, straight away he was on the defensive with and was growling. She made us put a muzzle on him, which is fine I don't mind that. She again attempted to examine but it was stressing him out so much she had to give up. She ended with calling him a "silly dog" which I thought was quite rude and wasn't called for. She is meant to be professional. She never once tried to befriend him first or anything. We were in there 2 or 3 minutes, did the prescription and then charged us £66. She was so rude and the way she behaved with our dog was uncalled for. I work with animals myself and as far as I am aware, when approaching an animal, especially when you are told they don't like being there. The first thing you do is try and befriend them. Talk to them, offer for them to sniff you first, get used to your scent etc. Not go straight in and stroke them.
