Hola!! I am a Spanish vet, I qualified in 2007. Working with animal was always my dream, and luckily here I am. I was working with racehorses in Spain, but decided to focus on small animals since I am in UK. In my spare time I love to train capoeira, visit different countries, enjoy nature and paddle boarding. Dancing is another passion, sadly not as good as I would like. Most of you know my beloved dog Romeo. He loves to come to the clinic every day and meet new friends.

I've been paying the medivet fees for nearly 10 years now for my dog who became old and now needs medicine because he is in a lot of pain. The medicine prescribed costs at Medivet 2 x more than online and if I ask for the prescription only they charge more than £20 extra for a piece of paper, even with the consultation being covered by the fees. I find it astonishing that as your dog becomes older they would do anything to make more money before the dog dies. When I go to a private doctor any prescription is issued at no extra charge, why is it different for dogs? I'm very disappointed by their system, exploring the pain of pets to extract as much money as possible from the owners.

I've been trying to call you over the last 4 days and no one is picking up the phone. Is there an issue with the line or changed landline?

Really good care at Medivet Stamford Hill! Have taken both my indoor cats here to get microchipped and have a check up and the doctor and staff are so lovely. Very easy to get an appointment as well and they do emergency appointments too! Now what to do about my cat sunbathing on my plants!? 😂

My recent visit to Medivet left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of care provided to my cat. Despite my hopes for a positive experience, I found the clinic's approach to be more focused on financial gain than on the well-being of my beloved pet. From the outset, it was evident that the clinic's priority was revenue generation. The staff's response to my concerns felt dismissive, and I couldn't shake the feeling that my cat's health was taking a backseat to monetary considerations. One particularly frustrating aspect was the inconsistency in the cost estimates provided. These figures seemed to fluctuate rapidly, with each subsequent estimate differing from the previous one by significant amounts. This inconsistency raised questions about the clinic's transparency and business practices. The most concerning part of my visit was the steep cost of a blood test, which was quoted at a staggering £650. This exorbitant fee was attributed to the clinic's insistence on total sedation for the procedure. Notably, this price was several times higher than what I had paid for a similar procedure just months earlier, during my cat's neutering. Adding to my disappointment was the clinic's documentation of my dissatisfaction in their report. While it's understandable for a pet owner to express concerns about high costs, their portrayal of my response seemed aimed at shifting blame rather than addressing the underlying issues. In stark contrast to my experience at Medivet, I subsequently sought out another veterinary clinic. The care and treatment provided by this alternative clinic were not only more affordable but also focused on minimizing stress for my cat. This experience highlighted the importance of a compassionate and considerate approach to pet care. In closing, my encounter with Medivet fell short of my expectations and underscored the significance of a veterinary practice that places the well-being of animals at the forefront. While I can't speak for everyone's experiences, I can only hope that my feedback encourages the clinic to reevaluate its approach and prioritise both the health of pets and the concerns of their owners. Will not returning.
