This will be the very last time i attend this vets, been today with my dog who is coughing, wanted to see if he could be made more comfortable as he is an old man and surgery wouldn't be an option, also about him chewing his back legs. Got told that they could do xrays on him and a blood test (which will only tell us what we already know). Also got told to flea my dog each month but told the vet that he is chewing in the same place not scratching and he has recently been flea'd overall went in wanting to ease his couching came out with dog shampoo and a anti inflammatory was charge £114.00 for the privilege and my poor dog is still coughing. Much better when it was Arncliffe vets.

AVOID... What a money making scam this Is, not bothered abt the animals, just want the money, told me I could have medication on repeat now I can't, got to bring dog, evrytime with cancer, even tho vet can't touch him or exam him, no bloods taken nothing, medication I needed wasn't in stock, wanted me to pay upfront and wait 3 days for it being delivered, vet told me not to pay upfront, receptionist thought i was lieing and went to speak to vet, 135 even tho there only 70 to buy online, told me they would put on repeat prescription, now there refused, lied to me, avoid, 200 to be seen out of hours, just to be seen, go animals trust at barnsley, non profit company and want to help animals, not this company, they just lie and tell you what you want to hear, receptionist rude look down your nose at you, first things they said on phone, we need money up front, of cause I'm not daft, just don't care, all about money and lie. Had to go private in end, the money was never a problem 🙂 I will never use this company again went private and how fantastic they was with prince, out of this world compared to medi vets

AVOID. AVOID at all costs it will cost you a fortune to have your pet treated here. They're not interested in animal welfare. Misdiagnosed my dogs condition at a cost of £130 then quoted £1500 for op. Animal trust did the op for £495 including aftercare check-up. Cannot praise animal trust enough. Medivet know we all love our pets so prey on our emotions and just charge extortionate prices will never recommend.

I wanted to buy some flea stuff but you can’t buy it without a consultation. The lady on reception was very abrupt, I felt unwelcome and she didn’t care to tell me how much a consultation would be so I just left and went elsewhere. Can’t comment on anything else but I got a bad impression.

Friendly helpful reception staff who always greet with a welcoming smile. Michael, the lead vet is AMAZING. He is extremely kind, caring, and tactile, with our dogs, especially our ‘old boy’ who is 15 and starting to struggle a bit. Have recommended Arncliffe to lots of other people over the years. Good luck with the forthcoming refurb BTW.
