Meet our Partner, Sophie Carman
I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2017 and have been with Medivet since 2021, taking the exciting step to become Partner at Yateley in January 2026. Having grown up in Yateley, I’m so excited to be coming home and can’t wait to get to know all of your pets. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, focusing on internal medicine, and I have a particular soft spot for senior feline medicine. Outside of work, I’m kept busy with my two children.

After getting a new kitten and moving my other cat over to Medivet from the very start the team has been fantastic! They have made me feel so comfortable looking after my animals (they are my life😂)! After having my kitten castrated i could not be more pleased with the experience! I received lovely updates and he came out very happy and returned to his normal self very quickly! I would like to point out Jo and Liv specifically to their incredible care towards my fur babies and the love my cats have for them as well! I am so glad i made the move! They are always up for a lovely chat too i couldn’t be more grateful for Jo, Liv and the team ❤️

Nothing compares to the service at Medivet Yateley. The nurses are lovely and are very knowledgeable especially Liv and Jo. The vets Sophie and Jill was amazing with my partners cat ! Outstanding service , outstanding vets.

Medivet Yateley what a lovely bunch of professionals.The veterinary who explains what she is going to do and always talking to a Greyhound that does not want to be there. The receptionist so friendly.

Sophie and her team at Yateley have taken great care of my elderly Himalayan cat, Frank, over the past four months since the practice opened. I initially decided to move to the practice after meeting Sophie— I was so impressed by her knowledge, especially her specialisation in senior feline health. Sadly, a week ago today, Frank’s health deteriorated to the point where euthanasia was the kindest option. Sophie allowed us time to come to terms with this, whilst explaining the importance of not leaving it too long. Both she and her team were gentle, compassionate, and supportive throughout. I cannot thank them enough for their exceptional care, empathy and professionalism.
