Investment Brings Enhanced Service to Wath, Goldthorpe and Dearne Valley Pet Owners
Three practices in South Yorkshire to benefit from a CT Scanner.
Pet owners in the South Yorkshire region are to benefit from an investment of £150,000 in an advanced CT scanner at Medivet 24 Hour Dearne Valley and from increased collaboration between the practice and its sister practices Medivet Wath and Medivet Goldthorpe.
Medivet 24 Hour Dearne Valley, a veterinary referral hospital and general practice based on the Thurnscoe Business Park, has just taken delivery of a state-of-the-art CT scanner, which will enable it to carry out scans on patients from clinics that owners would previously have had to travel some distance to access. Patients from Medivet Wath and Goldthorpe are also now able to benefit from the 24-hour patient care with veterinary teams working at both practices to offer consistency and continuity of care to all patients.
Partners and veterinary surgeons Janet Ellison and Nio Soler will head the teams at Wath and Dearne Valley. Janet has worked at the practice in Wath for 20 years. Nio brings additional skills to the team, including a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, which means he is experienced in carrying out a wide range of surgical procedures in dogs and cats.
He explained: “At Medivet we aim to offer a high-quality service delivered by a veterinary team that our clients and their pets get to know and feel comfortable with. With the increased collaboration between our local branches and the additional services on offer at Dearne Valley, including 24/7 veterinary care and our new scanning capability, we hope that clients will feel at home at either practice and have the peace of mind of knowing that their pets will receive the highest standard of care.”
