Lead Veterinary Surgeon
Maria has been with the clinic since 2021, but she has been part of the clinic family since seeing practice as a veterinary student! She loves all animals, but she has a particular interest in exotic species such as reptiles and birds. She lives with her cat Morphy, Cornflake the corn snake and Miremel, Dill, Drogon and Veserion the crested geckos.
Head Veterinary Nurse
My name is Michelle but everyone knows me as Shell! I have been with the practice since Autumn 2020 and have worked in the veterinary industry since 2012. My main interests are anaesthetics, consultations and practice management – so a mix of everything! My favourite part of the job is building bonds with clients and pets, and I feel very lucky traveling from Wales to work with such a fantastic team. I live with my three chihuahuas Poppy, Willow and Dexter, and relax with them in my spare time.
Patient Care Assistant
I am lucky enough to have been in the animal industry since 2011 and graduated 2016 gaining 1st class BSc with honours. I previously worked in: Animal Education Facilities, Farms, Pet Shops, Zoos and Aquaria. I am also a raptor 1st aider. National Exotics Volunteer. Qualified instructor. My interests include the natural world, culture and creativity. I aspire to study exotic animal nursing
Student Veterinary Nurse
Hi, my name is Katie and I’m a student veterinary nurse. I have trained at the practice since 2021. My main interests include nurse consults and providing great post-operative care to our patients. When I’m not studying, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my two fur babies, Loki and Iva.
My name is Mia and I’m a student veterinary nurse, currently going into my second year of training. I have a miniature Schnauzer called Darcy. In my spare time I love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
My name is Gemma and I have worked at the practice since 2007! I enjoy learning about exotics and would like to expand my knowledge/experience in surgical skills and physiotherapy. When not in work I enjoy horse riding and spending time with my little boy.
Client Care Assistant
I'm Lou one of the CCA's, I've worked at the practice since September 2019. Prior to working here, I had never worked in a veterinary practice before, but I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a job more, and I'm lucky to work alongside a great team of people.
As a direct result of working here I am now a cat mum to Petal and her son Charles. Outside of work I am a busy mum in a family of 6. In my spare time you'll mostly find me in the gym or out walking. I also enjoy baking and visiting new places home and abroad.
I have lived in and around New Ferry for forty-four years. It is so lovely seeing familiar faces and new come into the practice. Being a CCA is the best role as I enjoy helping clients, but most of all I love the cuddles from all the gorgeous pets. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, twin daughters and teenage daughter, and my gorgeous Cavatzu Minnie.
I have worked for Medivet since May 2022 and was new to the industry when I started, but so far, I am loving every minute of it. I’m a mum to a two-year-old black Labrador and in my spare time I enjoy being out and about in the great outdoors.
