Prior to joining Medivet I worked as a vet for three years. I love all aspects of the veterinary world, but particularly medicine. Outside of work I enjoy sport, theatre, museums and socialising. I speak Italian, Spanish and English and I love to travel.

I have bringing my Pomsky here for years. Always friendly and helpful staff, and try their best to accommodate in an emergency.

Worst ever. Last year they are not only charging for the services they did not do but also misdiagnosis my cat. They are also so good at booking appointments when they are not even open. They told me to get Rabies Vaccine for my cat on 29th of June, and they said that they are open on Saturday. But oh well

Medical services is good. However their retail prices for lets say Feliway is severely overpriced. Other stores sell for £15-£20 per refill but Medivet Southwark sells for £39.04! Extortionate pricing.

Very poor communication and zero transparency regarding fees. The vet offered to clip our cats’ nails (as done in the past) with no mention of this incurring an additional fee. Only after the appointment were we told it would be £20 per cat. The appointment started 15 minutes late and they no longer have high shelves foe cat carriers to reduce a cat's anxiety. Very disappointed in this practice and I suppose this is what happens when PE takes over/consolidates businesses

I have been taking my little yorkshire terrier Collin to see Vet Tara in the past. I would like to thank her for taking the best care of my little guy who is starting to feel comfortable with her. I received the best advice and service. She is the most caring and kind person and I have total confidence in her. Staff at Reception are always so helpful and polite. Thank you again with all my heart.

If you love and care for your pets. Go elsewhere! Medivet is surely a practice that only cares about charging you fees. I repeat, all that this practice and its ‘professionals’ care about is your wallet. All that we hear there is “I will have to charge you another £X” before even elaborating about the condition of your pet and what habits to take, what signs to look for, what options and what consequences for choosing to do or not to do a treatment. You will leave more clueless and worried than you came in. Be prepared to do all the work yourself. Even in A&E I have not seen the medical staff roll their eyes at a patient or a parent asking for a reassuring quick check-up. “I can real fast have a look *roll eyes, sigh* but I will charge you £60 *takes out a billing notepad” Not one single staff remotely shows any sign of reassuring or affectionate attitude towards the pets. From the second you call to walking through the door to waiting forever to seeing a vet. They will not do the job if the pet moves or doesn’t like to be poked or hurt in one way or another. Have they been formed at all to deal with animals???? They’ve nailed every wrong diagnosis possible for the most common symptoms a pet can have (i.e allergy). Be prepared to have your pet sedated to do any minor removal. Because the pet moves and you see that’s a problem to the professional who doesn’t know to handle a household animal. The cost of basic treatments is higher than the average UK cost. If you like overpaying for a below mediocre service and need a vaccine for your pet, be sure to find it 80% more expensive than the rest of practices around. Remind yourself that you can be charged for services you have never received or will never receive and they are well prepared to toss you around with the complaint. There is no water, no airflow, the place is dirtier than it should. The premises became smaller, how small and unhygienic will you make it to save on money next? The staff should find new jobs in a below average hospitality company, they fit the disagreable and useless criteria for such establishment. No wonder why they close down. This is the most shameful business I have known in London and deeply regret not having access to another choice in the area.
