I wish I was joking as I've never experienced anything like this. The vet was extremely unprofessional, repeatedly mentioning her wealthy clients, how Notting Hill is such a wealthy area, and even how people feed their pets better food than they eat themselves. She also talked about her son flying in private jets, which was completely irrelevant and inappropriate. When discussing my pet's needs, she insensitively remarked, “if you can’t afford the pricey surgery, it’s okay.” This was incredibly unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. Throughout the appointment, she laughed inappropriately and couldn't answer my questions properly. Instead of focusing on my pet's health, she indulged in off-topic chitchat and made sure to add unnecessary items to the bill. The entire experience was horrible, and I will never be coming back.

Thieves. Over charge for service, scam you to pay more and when you are due for a refund they wouldn’t pay it back. Been trying to get my money for 2 months and they are extremely rude and not giving me my money!

ABSOLUTE WORST vets in London. Lost all hope with the brand 'Medivet' I've dealt with them for years and they've been very sneaky with prices, overpriced while providing terrible service. Wrong dosage prescribed to my cat which caused her other organs to suffer, now I'm footing bills for other ailments due to overdosage! I went to another more reliable vet who actually cares about the animals not just the money they receive, who clearly stated the dosage for the weight of my cat should have been much lesser and due to this her kidneys have failed. They are not attentive and just have no care for the animal they treat, I know by experience. Emma is always rude whenever she answers the phone and very abrupt, she'll manage to blame you for their mistakes, very manipulative and uncaring. I've moved vets because of how much my pet has suffered and hope none of you have to go through what she or I did

Fantastic vets! Amazing support from the receptionists. Medivet Notting Hill is a unique setting with a lovely warm and pleasant very appealing reception area, clean examination rooms. The vets are experienced and caring. From the moment you pick up the phone to book an appointment you are greeted by a helpful and caring assistant. We have been to the practice more than once as owners of four cats. The whole experience was reassuring about my pet and helpful in making it easy for me to manage the issues. In particular have been very impressed with Ben. Very clear pricing as well which helps.

The care provided by Emma, Harriet, Ben, Bex, and team is compassionate and holistic. They work tirelessly to find the root cause of the most challenging cases (including drawing on their networks of other practitioners), and work with you to come up with a treatment plan that considers your pet’s wellbeing, your own wellbeing, and the practicalities of treatment. In my case, they’ve helped navigate challenges with pet insurance coverage and been mindful about recommending treatment that may not be covered. There are few things more reassuring than a vet saying “if she were my dog, this is what I’d do.” I know Emma cares for my dog as if she’s one of her own. My dog has visited many times in the last three years and her only complaint is that they don’t have after hours cuddle service—as captured in this photo.

Emily, the vet, was fantastic, as were the front of house staff. And Socks wasn’t too traumatised by the experience. Top marks!

In general, I haven't had any big issue with their service (yet) (insert worried emoji). However, I have noticed some problems with their organisation/communication/attitude. I would hugely recommend them to improve on these areas. So, here is the story: In my very recent visits to the Medivet Notting Hill branch, some of their staff have given me an impression of being lacklustre and careless. The day before I left London for an urgent matter, I took my cat there for a blood test because he hasn't been behaving like himself (not eating or drinking much, more tired than usual). The vet agreed to do a blood test and found that my cat has a significantly high level of creatinine (related to kidney function according to their words). Considering how urgent a potential case of kidney failure could be, of course I agreed to proceed with a full urine test. After the urine was collected and submitted, neither my flatmate nor I was made aware of the lack of payment and the fact that they would just leave the urine sample in the clinic without being tested on. We only found out after asking them about the urine result. On top of that, we were also never informed properly about the procedure of the urine collection. Only when being asked about it, did they mention about the equipment needed, for example non-absorbable litter and a syringe. This is not even the worse part. Even after being asked, they never mentioned the urine sample had to be stored in the fridge before submission. Everything had to be done all over again, further delaying a proper diagnosis/treatment for my cat. It was a Friday so the diagnosis/treatment for a potentially very serious kidney condition had to be postponed for another weekend. Having a sick cat is worrying enough. This service has made it an even more nerve wracking experience to go through because of this lacklustre/disorganised style of work. The above might have sounded like an overreaction in some way, but it was not a singular event. Their miscommunication had almost caused another significant delay. When the blood test had to be taken, they said my cat was too jumpy so he had to be brought back the next day for them to try again. As such, I told the receptionist/nurse in-person that my friends would help me with that. I specifically mentioned with concern that I, as the owner, could not be there because I would be outside the country. Somehow all of us was only informed the next day that a signed consent form is needed for a blood test. Had I not been able to pick up the phone because of being on the plane or in a different time zone, the blood test would have been delayed too. Very luckily, my cat and my friends only had to wait for an hour elsewhere before the blood test because I was able to sign it immediately I saw their email that morning. I suppose the clinic has performed blood and urine tests frequently enough for them to be efficient at it. The clinic needs to improve on their communication with pet owners. Having to spend more time coming back and forth to the clinic is fine, it is the therapeutic time window that I am afraid of losing for my cat, especially when the delay is avoidable with careful communication and attitude. Cats are known to be quite prone to kidney problems and dying from them. I sincerely wish that my cat was only unfortunate enough to have to experience these moments of their disorganisation within a week under their service. After all, the well-being of many pets in this neighbourhood is in their hands.
